I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and
discharged from all manner of servitude or service
to me my Executors or administrators forever   In
Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed my seal this 20th day of January 1819

On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written
to wit:   Maryland Anne Arundel County sc  On
this 20th day of January 1819 Came the within
named Joshua Toogood before me one of the
Justices of the peace for said County and acknowled
the within deed or instrument of writing to be his
act and deed according to the true intent and
meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such
cases made and provided

       Maryland ss   To all whom these presents shall
come Greeting I Francis Hancock of anne arundel
County in the State of maryland for divers good causes
and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby
declare free manumitted and Enfrancise the two
negroes following to wit   Saul aged about thirty
three years to be free from and at full liberty
from and after the date of these presents from me
my heirs Executors or administrators also Emmory
