99 acknowledged and recorded as by law it ought to have been now therefore Know all men by these presents that I Horatio Ridout one of the executors and residuary legatees of the aforesaid John Ridout of the county aforesaid do in pursuance of the aforesaid intention of my deceased father expressed in the above recited instrument of writing hereby manumit liberate and set free the above mentioned mulatto girl Henny she having now served out the time of years for which she was sold as above mentioned, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal on this fourteenth day of June Anno Domini eighteen hundred and ten signed sealed & delivered in the presence of Horatio Ridout (seal) Ann Goldsborough H. S. Gibson on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Ann arundel county sc on this 14 day of June 1810 the within named Horatio Ridout came before me one of the Justices of the peace for the county af.d and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true effect and true meaning of the same and according to the act of Assembly in such case made and provided Taken before Richard Merriken Recorded 15 June 1810 |
