100 Anne arundel county to wit Know all men by these presents that I Henry Ridgely of the county aforesaid have manumitted liberated and absolutely discharged from slavery and by these presents do manumit liberate and absolutely discharge from slavery a mulatto female child named Mary daughter of my negro woman slave named viney aged about twelve months old at the time In witness whereof I the said Henry Ridgely have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifteenth day of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and nine signed sealed & delivered in presence of Henry Ridgely (seal) Richd H Harwood Jeremiah Townley Chase on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Ann arundel county to wit on the 15.th of november 1809 came Henry Ridgely aforesaid before the subscriber and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof acknowledged before Jeremiah Townley Chase chief Judge of third judicial 1¾ District Recorded 19.th February 1810 |
