63 discharged from all servise to her or to any claiming under her except with the exception therein mentioned in favor of James P. Maynard after the fullfillment whereof said negroes are to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided 5 acknowledged before Gideon White Recorded the 28 Janry 1809 To all whom it may concern be it known that I Robert Franklin of ann arundel county in the state of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moveing have released from slavery liberated manumited and set free my negro man named Daniel being of the age of forty two years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelyhood and maintainance and him the said negro man named Daniel I do declare to be henceforth free manumited and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this second day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight |
