to be free on the tenth day of december one thousand eight
hundred and nine, Cate aged twenty two years on the
twentieth day of may last to be free at the age of thirty five
years, James aged seven years on the ninth day of april
last to be free at the age of forty hereby declaring and
acknowledgeing the aforesaid negros as above named to be
free and forever discharged from all claims of service
right or property whatsoever from me or any claiming under
me my executors administrators or assigns from and
after the expiration of the terms above specified
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this fifteenth day of august eighteen
hundred and eight
signed sealed & delivered
    in the presence                   Leonard Mallonee   (seal)

on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
State of Maryland anne arundel county to wit
on this 15.th day of august 1808 personally appears
Leonard mallonee party to the within instrument of
writing who acknowledges the same to be his act and
deed according to the true intent and meaning
thereof and the act of assembly in such case
made and provided
                acknowledged before Henry Woodward
