46 eight personally appears Mary Franklin party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland for the county aforesaid and acknowledges the same to be her act and deed for the purpose within mentioned and the negro girl within named after the within term mentioned to be thenceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to her or to any claiming under her and to be free and manumitted according to act of assembly in such cases made & provided acknowledged before 2¾ Edward Hall Recorded 1 aug.t 1808 Ex.d d d State of Maryland Anne Arundell county to wit To all whom it may concern be it known that for divers good causes me thereunto moving I Augustin Sewell of the county aforesaid do hereby manumit and declare free agreeably to the terms herein after specified to wit my negro man Jacob aged about twenty three years to be free on the twenty fourth day of December eighteen hundred and sixteen my negro woman Lucy aged about twenty years to be free on the 24.th December eighteen hundred and nineteen Sarah aged seventeen years on the fourth day of bruary last to be free on the twenty fourth day of December eighteen hundred and twenty two my negro boy named Jacob Toogood aged seventeen years on the seventeenth day of September last to be free on the twenty fourth day of December eighteen hundred and twenty one James aged fourteen years the fourth day of february last to be free on the twenty fourth day of february December eighteen hundred hundred and twenty five Samuel aged nine years the twenty second |
