340 and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before paid Thomas Sellman 3 Recorded the 20.th day of March 1816 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Mary Merriken of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro girl named Harriott being now of the age of fifteen months on the first day of January one thousand eight hundred and forty and her the said Harriott I do declare to be then that is to say on the first day of January one thousand eight hundred and forty free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever also for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery manumit and set free my negro girl named |
