and acknowledges the same to be his act and
deed for the purposes therein mentioned and the
negroe man therein named to be henceforth
manumitted and discharged from all services
to him or any claiming under him and to be
free ^and^ manumitted according to the acts of
Assembly in such cases made and provided

paid have released from slavery liberated
manumitted and set free and do by these
presents hereby release from slavery liberate
manumit and set free my mulatto slave
(he being my Grandson) named Edward
Boothe being of the age of twenty one years
