323 of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen personally appeared Jub Fowler within named before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County aforesaid and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed Ex.d d.d James Hunter paid ch.d 6½ Recorded the 18.th day of November 1815 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Stephen Boone of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby agree to be released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman named Thener being of the age of 34 years to be free when she arrives at the age of 35 years which will be on the 17th day of November 1816. Further I do agree to release from slavery liberate manumit and set free the above negro womans two children as follows Mary aged 4 years until she arrives at the age of 35 years and Richard aged 8 months until he arrives at the age of 35 years from the date of this manumition also the increase of Thener and Mary severally to serve untill they arrive at the age of 35 years and they the said negroes Thener Mary and Richard and there increase I do declare to be at the time specified free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or |
