In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 17th day of November in the year of our Lord 1815 Signed Sealed and delivered Stephen Boone (seal) in the presence of James MacKubin Jun.r John Cross On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Anne Arundel County to wit: On this 17.th day of November 1815 personally appears Stephen Boone party to the above instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes above mentioned and the negroes above named to be at the time specified manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted according to the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided Ex.d d.d acknowledged before ch.d James MacKubin J.r 3½ Recorded the 21.st day of November 1815 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Stephen Boone of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby agree to be released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro girl named Kesiah aged 8 years to be free |
