32 Exd To all whom it may concern be it known that I Thomas Price of anne arundel county in the state of maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do by these presents release manumit liberate and set free from slavery my negro woman named Fanny at the expiration of five years from the twenty fifth day of December next ensuing the date hereof the said negro Fanny now being near sixteen years of age and at the expiration of the before mentioned time the said negro Fanny is hereby declared to be liberated from slavery and free from me to all intents and purposes and from all manner of persons whatsoever claiming or to claim by from or under me and in case the said negro Fanny should have any issue or increase before the expiration of the aforesaid term of time each child shall serve whether male or female untill they arrive to the age of twenty one years and then to be free to all intents and purposes. ^In witness^ whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of april in the year eighteen hundred and eighty witness Sam.l Howard Thomas Price (seal) John Cord on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel county to wit on the 26 day of april eighteen hundred and eight appeared Thomas Price before me the subscriber a Justice of the county aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing or manumission to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and act of assembly in such case made and provided acknowledged before Recorded 16 may 1808 John Cord |
