319 mentioned and the negro girl within named to be henceforth manumited and discharged from all servises to her or an claming under her and to be free and manumited according to the act of Assembly in such case made and provided acknowledged before ch.d Abner Linthicum 3 Recorded the 21st day of September 1815 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Stephen Boone of Ann Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby agree that on the 20th day of December 1837 for which time I have sold her to Jonas Yeoner of the City of Baltimore to release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro girl named Eliza who will be at the period above mentioned 35 years of age and her the said negro Eliza I do declare to be at the time specified free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 3d day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen Signed Sealed and Stephen Boone (seal) delivered in the presence of James MacKubin Jun.r James MacKubin On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Ann Arundel County to wit: On this 3 day of October 1815 personally appears Stephen Boone |
