318 liberated manumitted and set free and by thes presents do hearby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro girl named Elizebeth being of the age of nineteen last May past and able to worke and gaine a sufficient livelyhood and maintainance And her the said negro girl named Elizebeth I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all maner of sirvetud forever. In Testimoney whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this second day June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen her Signed sealed and Allis + Bryant (seal) delivered in preasans of mark Abner Linthicum Rich.d Phelps On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Received on the day of the date of the above mentioned the sum of one dollar current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned her Allis + Bryant (seal) mark Ann Arundel County and State of Maryland to wit On this the second day of June personally appears Allis Bryant party to the within instrument of writing before me a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be her act and deed for the purpose within |
