that for the sum of thirty dollars to me in hand
paid by Joshua Brogdon (a colord free man)
for his daughter Henney beeing five years old the
twentieth day of August last past  I hearby
declare and acknowledge the aforesaid negro
girl Henney to bee free and forever dischargd
from all claims of service rights or properties
whatsoever from me or any claming under me
my executors administrators or assigns.  In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this eleventh day of September
eighteen hundred and fifteen

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
State of Maryland Anne Arandel County to wit:
On the 11th day of Septemr 1815 personally appered
Leonard Mallonee before me a justice of the
peace for A A County and acknowledged the above
instrenent  of writeing to bee his act and deed
according to the true intent and meanning
thareof and the act of Assembly in such case
made and provided
            acknowledged before

To all whom it may concirn be it Known that I
Allis Bryant of Ann Arundel County in the Stat
of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations
me thereunto moveing as allso in further
consideration of one dollar current money to me
in hand paid have released from slavery
