to me my executors or administrators forever.  In
Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed my seal this 17.th day of August in the
year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifteen

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit:
Received on the day of the date within mentioned
the sum of five shillings current money it being
the full consideration money within mentioned

Anne Arundel County Sct  Be it remembered
that on this 17th day of August eighteen ^hundred^ and
fifteen personally appears Edward Lloyd party
to the within instrument of writing before me
the subscriber a justice of the peace of the
State of Maryland for the said County and
acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for
the purposes within mentioned and the negro
woman within named to be henceforth
manumitted and discharged from all services
to him or to any claiming under him and to be
free and manumitted according to the act of
Assembly in such cases made and provided
paid            acknowledged before
