314 On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: On the 24 day of June 1815 personally appears Martha Robosson before me a Justice of the peace for the State and County aforesaid and acknowledges the within instrument of writing to be her act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the several negroes therein mentioned to be manumited and free after the expiration of their several terms of service according to the act of Assembly in such case made and provided paid acknowledged before Ex.d d.d Ch.s Waters 4 Recorded the 3d day of August 1815 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I John Brice of Anne Arundell County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery liberated and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro woman Elizabeth Mitchell being near or about twenty five years of age and able to work and gain a sufficient maintenance and livelihood and her the said negro Elizabeth Mitchell I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever.
