308 of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of five dollars current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery manumit and set free the following slaves now in my possession viz.t Ben about twelve years of age and Frank about eight years of age And I do hereby declare the said Slaves Ben and Frank to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty second day of May one thousand eight hundred and fifteen his Signed Sealed and delivered Tolly + Moore (seal) in the presence of mark Rezin Estep Edward Tillard On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Received May 22 1815 the sum of five dollars current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned his Witness Tolly + Moore Rezin Estep mark Anne Arundel County to wit: On this twenty second day of May 1815 personally appears Tolly Moore party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for |
