Know all men by these presents that I Charles G
Linthicum beleiveing that natural freedom is the
right of all men given by Almighty God do bind
myself my heirs executors administrators and
assigns to set free and manumit the following
negroe in the following manner to wit:  negroe
Rissey aged eleven years to serve nineteen years
from the date hereof.  Witness my hand seal this
13.th day of March 1815

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit:
Anne Arundel County s.t  I hereby certify that on
the third day of may eighteen hundred and fifteen
came the above named Charles G Linthicum before
us the subscribers two Justices of the peace for
the County aforesaid and acknowledged the above
instrument of writing to be his act and deed
according to the true intent and meaning thereof
