306 said negro woman named Linda I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen Signed Sealed and delivered Richard Harwood of Thos (seal) in the presence of of us H H. Harwood B. Harwood On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of two hundred dollars current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Witness Richard Harwood of Tho.s (seal) H H Harwood B. Harwood Anne Arundel County to wit: Be it remembered that on this twenty sixth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen personally appears Richard Harwood of Thomas party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him and to be free and manumitted |
