of servitude or service to me my executors or
administrators.  In Testimony whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this
eighth day of April in the year of our Lord
eighteen hundred and fifteen        his

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
Received on the day of the date within mentioned
the sum of one dollar current money it being
the full consideration money within mentioned

Anne Arundel County to wit:  On this eighth
day of April 1815 personally appears John Davis
party to the within instrument of writing
before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace
of the State of Maryland for the said County and
acknowledges the same to be his act and deed
for the purposes within mentioned and the
negroes within named to be henceforth
manumitted and discharged from all services
to him or to any claiming under him and to
be free and manumitted according to the
act of Assembly in such cases made and
provided
paid         Acknowledged before
