Harwood Edwin Harwood On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc.t On the day and year above mentioned came John Harman before the subscriber an Associate Judge for the third Judicial District and acknowledged the above instrument to be his act and deed Acknowledged before Ex.d d.d R H Harwood paid Recorded the 19.th day of April 1815 Know all persons by these presents that I John Cord of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland for divers good causes and consideration me thereunto moveing do by these presents liberate from this date my negro woman called Bett otherwise Elizabeth and I do by these presents hereby declare the said negro Bett to be from this date liberated and set free from slavery from me my heirs executors and administrators to all intents and purposes from this time henceforth and forever and I likewise liberate and set free from slavery my mulatto boy called Henry in manner following that is to say the |
