is the right of all men do hereby set free and
manumit negro Charles aged about ten years
to be free in eighteen years from the date hereof
and for the full performance of this Article
and stipulation before mentioned and contained
I bind myself my heirs executors and
administrators firmly by these presents
sealed with my seal and signed and dated
this 14.th day of March one thousand eight
hundred and fifteen

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
Anne Arundel County to wit:  On the 14.th day of
March one thousand eight hundred and fifteen
came the above named George Dorsey before
me the subscriber one of the Justices of the
peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged
the above instrument of writing to be his act
and deed according to the true intent and
meaning thereof

Know all men by these presents that I
John Harman of Anne Arundel County for
divers good causes have manumitted liberated
and set free one negro woman named
Nan and her Child now a few days old
