28 all manner of servitude or service to my executors administrators or any person or persons claiming under me likewise be it known that I Richard Weedon of anne arundel county and State aforesaid do release from slavery manumit and set free the several negro children of the above named woman to wit Charles Rosanna Harriott and Eliza as they shall respectively arrive at the age of thirty five years I do hereby declare the within named negros manumitted and discharged as they shall respectively arrive at the age and time above specifyed In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of march in the year of our Lord 1808 Richard Merriken Witness Richard Weedon (Seal) Daniel Weedon on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel county to wit on the fourteenth day of march 1808 personally appears Richard Weedon party to the within instrument of writing before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the several negroes therein named to be free manumitted and discharged as they may respectively arrive at the age time and therein specified acknowledged before Ex.d.d.d 3 Richard Merriken Recorded 15.th March 1808 |
