said 4.th day of February 1813.  witness my hand

on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
Anne Arundel county Ss.t  On the twenty second
day of February one thousand eight hundred and
eight personally appeared before me the subscriber
one of the Justices of the peace for the county
aforesaid.  Seth Sweetser party to the within Instrument
of writing and did acknowledge the same to be his act
and deed and the negro man Cornelius to be free
at the time within mentioned

To all whome it may concern be it known
that I Richard Weedon of Anne Arundel county
in the State of maryland for divers good causes
and considerations me thereto moving by these
presents do release from slavery liberate manumit
and set free my negro woman named Nan
she being of the age of thirty five years and
able to gain a sufficient livelyhood and
maintenance at my death and not before
and after that time I do declare my negro woman
Nan free manumitted and discharged from
