263 the said Susanner Gaither for the aforesaid considerations and under a belief that it would be pleasing to her creator to manumate set at liberty and discharge from slavery the aforesaid negroes Mary Ann Harriott and Wilson and their increase doth by these presents instrument of writing or deed of Emanumition sett at liberty and discharge clear and free from slavery from all manner of person or persons whatsoever after or at the death of me Susanner Gaither only retaining them the aforesaid negroe slaves and their increase for my the aforesaid Susanner Gaithers use support and maintainance for and during the natural life of me the said Susanner Gaither and at the death of me the said Susanner Gaither all the aforesaid negroe slaves named Mary Ann Harriott and Wilson and their increase to be sett at liberty to goe free and to be clear and free from slavery let hinderance or molestation from or by any person or persons or from all manner of persons in the world after the death of me the said Susanner Gaither they and their increase to be to themselves and in their own rights agreeable to the above liberation and discharge from slavery only subject to the use and controll for and dureing the natural life of me the aforesaid Susanner Gaither.
