26 whatsoever from me or any claiming under me my heirs executors administrators or assigns from and after the expiration of the terms above mentioned and the issue of the aforesaid females if any and the issue of such issue to be free at the age of twenty five years as specified in the aforegoing manumission. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this second day of march in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred & eight Signed sealed & delivered Ann Stewart (seal) in presence of Gideon White On the back of the John M. Sewell aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit On the 2.d day of march one thousand eight hundred and eight personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for ann arundel county Anne Stewart party to the within instrument of writing who acknowledges the same to be her act & deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the acts of assembly in such case made and provided Gideon White Recorded 3.d March 1808 Maryland Ss.t To all whom these presents shall come Greeting: I Seth Sweetser of the city of annapolis in anne arundel county and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hereby declare free manumit and enfranchise my negro man Cornelius being about the age of forty years on the 4.th day of february 1813 hereby acknowledging the said negro man Cornelius discharged from all claim of service and right of property whatever from me |
