255 To all whom it may Concern be it known that I Mary Robosson of Anne Arundel County in the state of Maryland for divers good causes and Considerations me thereunto moving as also in the further consideration of the sum of one dollar Current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumited and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named Jacob aged about forty one years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelyhood and maintanance and him the said negro man named Jacob I do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service from the sixth day of April next to me my Executors or administrators for ever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 8th day of march in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and (fourteen) |
