245 Ex.d chd acknowledged before Sam.l Gott 3½ Recorded the 29th day of January 1814 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit. To all whom it may concern Be it Known that whereas my Sister Asenath Hutton lately deceased did on the fifth day of November last execute her last will and testament containing amongst other things the following to wit my will and desire is that my executor hereinafter named shall manumit and set free my negro woman Rose immediately after my decease And whereas by a subsequent clause of the said will I am appointed the executor thereof and have since the decease of my said Sister taken out letters testamentary on her estate. Now be it Known that in consideration of the premises as also in further consideration of the sum of five dollars current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free the said negro woman Rose and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free the said negro woman Rose declaring her to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever.
