244 nineteen to be free at the end of eighteen years from 25 December last Mary aged six months to be free at the end of twenty six years from 25 december last and shood any of these females have children in the time of their servitude the males to be free at the age of thirty and the females at the age of twenty six and so down to the latest generation hereby acknowledging the said negros discharged from all claim of service and right of property whatever from me my heirs executors or administrators as witness my hand and seal this 20.th day of January in the blessed year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen Signed sealed acknowledged and delivered in the presence of Sam Wood J.r Wm H Boswell W.m Weems (seal) On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anna Arundel County 21 January 1814 Then came william weems before me one of the justice of the peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing as his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof (acknowledged) |
