230 William when he arrives to the age of twenty one years which will be the twentieth of the twelfth month eighteen hundred and fifteen And do for myself and my airs relinquish all right title and claim unto the said negro William or any thing he may acquire after arriving to the aforesaid period. Given this the 4.th day of the twelfth month 1813 in the presence of John Cowman Joseph Sands Francis Welch On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Anne Arundel County Sc On this 4.th Decem.r 1813 appeared John Cowman before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof according to the acts of Assembly in such cases made and provided ch.d Acknowledged before Joseph Sands 1¾ Recorded the 4.th day of December 1813 Know all men by these presents that I Rachel Snowden of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving have liberated manumitted and set free a negro lad by name John Moale who is to severe Jeremiah Watkins of Montgomery County and State aforesaid for the sum of six years from the date of these presents at the expiration of which time it is intended by these presents |
