228 nineteen at which time he is to be free from bondage for value received Witness our hands and seals this 13.th day of Novem.r 1813 witness Geo Howard (seal) Nich.s Worthington of Tho.s Caleb Dorsey (seal) Nich.s Watkins J.r Thomas Cross (seal) Ch.d 3 Recorded the 25.th day of November 1813 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Susanna Harrison for Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free on the twentithird day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one my mulatto girl named Nelly being of the age of seventeen or eighteen years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said mulatto girl named Nelly I do declare to be on the twentithird day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one to be free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever.
