221 thereof and the acts of assembly in such case made and provided paid Acknowledged before d.d Ex.d Thomas Sellman 3¼ Recorded the 21st day of July 1813 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that we John Claude Dennis Claude and Abram Claude of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations us thereunto moving as also in further consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars current money of Maryland to us in hand paid the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free our man slave named William Tinges being of the age of twenty seven years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said man slave named william Tinges we do declare to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to us our executors or administrators forever. In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this eigth day of September eighteen hundred and thirteen Signed Sealed and delivered John Claude (seal) in the presence of us D Claude (seal) Louis Gassaway Abram Claude (seal) Jno Gassaway On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Anne Arundel County sc.t Be it remembered |
