218 Know all men by these presents that I Charles G Linthicum Knowing that natural freedom being the right of all men given by Almighty God do this day manumit and set free from me my heirs executors administrators and assigns my negroe woman Cate and her daughter Susanna In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 3.d day of April 1813 Signed Sealed and Charles G Linthicum (seal) delivered in presence of Cha.s D Warfield Dan.l Warfield On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Anne Arundel County to wit: On this 3.d day of April 1813 came Charles G Linthicum before me the subscriber a justice of the peace for the County afs.d and acknowledged the within instrument to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Chd Cha.s D Warfield 1¼ Recorded the 18.th day of may 1813 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that I Robert Wallace of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of fifty dollars to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate |
