200 came the above named Hester Hood & Elizabeth Hood before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and did acknowledge the above instrument of writing to be there act and deed according to the act of assembly in such case made and provided Ex.d d.d Before chd Henry Woodward 1½ Recorded the 18th day of December 1812 To all whom it may concern be it Known that I William Tuck of the City of Annapolis in Arundell County for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as in further consideration of fifty cents current money to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro boy Nace and my negro woman Delila on the following terms to wit: the said negro boy Nace aged sixteen years to be free at the age of thirty five years and the said negro woman Delila aged twenty three years to be free at the age of thirty five years and the issue of the said woman Delila to be free at the age of thirty five years and the said negro boy and the said negro woman I do declare to be free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors administrators or assigns forever after the above term that is to say the said boy to be free on the first day of January one thousand eight hundred thirty two and the said woman to be free on the first |
