acknowledging the said negro woman Tamer free and
forever discharged from all claim or service right or
property whatsoever from me or any claiming under me
my heirs executors administrators or assigns from and
after the expiration of the 12.th day of December one thousand
eight hundred and fourteen.  In Testimony whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 23.d day
of November one thousand eight hundred and twelve

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit:
On the 23.d day of November one thousand eight hundred
and twelve personally appeared John Sewell before me
the subscriber a Justice of the peace for Anne Arundell
County and acknowledged the within instrument of
writing to be his act and deed and the signature
and seal thereto annexed to be respectively his
Ch.d               before

2¼      Recorded the 27.th day of November 1812


Know all men by these presents that we Hester Hood
and Elizabeth Hood of Anne Arundel County and State
of Maryland for divers good causes do manumit and
set free our negro slave Anthony after he arrives to
the age of thirty years the said negro slave Anthony
being of the age of fourteen years.  In Testimony whereof
we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty
fifth day of July 1812
