In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day January one thousand eight hundred and thirteen Signd seald & delivered in presence W.m Tuck (seal) of Gideon White Washington G Tuck On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit: Received the day of the date within mentioned fifty cents it being full consideration money within mentioned W.m Tuck Ann Arundell County ss.t On this first day of January 1813 appeard William Tuck before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of Assembly in such cases made and provided Exd Gideon White ch.d 3¼ Recorded the 7.th day of January 1813 To all whom it may concern Be it Known that Ann Lane of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland made her last will and testament in writing dated the thirtyeth day of March seventeen hundred and ninety eight which will is legally proved and recorded according to law in the Register of Wills Office for the County aforesaid. And the said Ann Lane did devise under her said Will that a certain negro boy by the name of John the son of Fanny about eight years old should be manumitted and set free |
