198 Anne Arundel County sc Be it remembered that on this 10.th day of October 1812 personally appears Ruthy Davis party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the state of Maryland for the said County and acknowledges the same to be her act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the Negro Woman within named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from all services to her or to any claiming under her except as above excepted and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such case made and provided paid acknowledged before Ex.d d.d Jno Brice 3¼ Recorded the 10.th day of October 1812 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County sc.t To all whom it may concern Be it Known that for divers good causes me thereunto moving I John Sewell of the State and County aforesaid do hereby manumit and declare free agreeable to the terms hereinafter specified to wit: my negro woman Tamer aged about thirty nine years to be free on the twelfth day of December one thousand eight hundred and fourteen and the issue of said female (if any born after the date of these presents shall be free at twenty five years of age, Hereby declareing and |
