under my direction and controul or such other person
or persons as I may appoint untill he arrives at
the age of twenty one years which will be on the
first day of June in the year eighteen hundred and
twenty four at which period the said boy Charles
Angel Howard is declared to be free from me
my heirs executors administrators and assigns
from and after that day forever.   In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal this sixth day of February in the year
eighteen hundred and twelve

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit
Anne Arundel County to wit:  On the seventh day
of February came James Angel Howard before me
the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the County
aforesaid and acknowledged the within instrument
of writeing or manumission to be his act and
deed according to the true intent and meaning
thereof and act of assembly in such cases made
and provided

To all whom this doth or may concern  Be it
Known that I John Weems (of Richard) of Anne
Arundel County and State of Maryland for divers
good causes and considerations me thereunto
