Know all men by these presents that I Thomas
Lee of Ann Arundel County for divers causes and
considerations have manumitted and set free
negro Charles which said man I formerly sold
to Charles Waters of said County for the Term of
ten years said Term having fully expired I do
hereby declare the said negro man Charles to be
discharged from all manner of claim or demand
from me or any other person or persons whatsoever
from the date hereof.  Given under my hand
and seal this 21 day of Aprill in the year eighteen
hundred and twelve
Signed Sealed and delivered in      Tho.s Lee   (seal)
presence of      J Montgomery
                       Cha.s Waters

On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit:
Ann Arundel County to wit:  On the 21.st day of
Aprill in the year eighteen hundred and twelve
personally appeared Thomas Lee party ^to^ the aforegoing
instrument of writing before me the subscriber
a Justice of the peace in and for said County and
acknowledged the same to be his act and deed
according to the true intent and meaning thereof
and the act of assembly in such case made and
provided
chd            Acknowledged before   Ch.s Waters
2      Recorded the 21.st day of April 1812


To all whom it may concern  Be it Known that
I Richard Stringer of Ann Arundel County in the
State of Maryland for divers good causes and
considerations me thereunto moving as also in
