In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twelfth day of april eighteen hundred and eleven signed sealed and delivered in the presence of Charles Dorsey of Nich.s Henry C. Hobbs (seal) Cha.s G. Dorsey On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus endorsed to wit Maryland anne arundel county to wit On the 12.th day of april in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven Henry C. Hobbs appears before the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the state and county aforesaid and acknowledged the above manumition and deed to be his act and deed and the several negroes therein named with issue to be free at the several periods therein mentioned according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the acts of Assembly in such cases made and provided Acknowledged before Ex.d & Cha.s G. Dorsey chd 3½ Recorded the 16.th day of april 1811 I Richard Hopkins (Physician) of the State of Maryland and Ann Arundel County do hereby set free from bondage my negro Slaves named Priscilla Fortune |
