on the back of the aforegoing deed was thus endorsed to wit
Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum
of one hundred pounds current money it being the full
consideration money within mentioned

Anne Arundel county to wit   On this 5.th day of January
1811 personally appeared Elizabeth Hood party to the within instrument
of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the
state of maryland for the said County and acknowledges the
same to be her act and deed for the purposes within mentioned
and the several negroes within named to be henceforth
manumitted and discharged from all services to her or to
any claiming under her and to be free and manumitted
according to the act of assembly in such cases
made and provided         acknowledged before

Know all men by these presents that I Henry C. Hobbs of anne
arundel county and state of maryland for divers good causes
and considerations me hereunto moving being conscienciously
concerned to give and grant to the negroes now in my
possession their freedom and liberty do hereby declare
that free from me my heirs and assigns forever
and from all manner of persons whatsoever in
manner and form following Viz.t negro Rachel
to be free at the date of this manumition negro
Charles to be free December y.e fifteenth eighteen hundred
and seventeen negro Isaac to be free september the
thirteenth eighteen hundred and twenty two negro
James to be free the thirtieth of December eighteen
hundred twenty three, negro Richard to be free
October the sixteenth eighteen hundred twenty four
negro Jacob to be free January the sixth
eighteen hundred and twenty six negro Susanna
to be free february the eighth eighteen hundred
and twenty six, negro Abraham to be free
february the eighth eighteen hundred and
