13 free agreeably to the terms herein after specified to wit my negro boy named Harry aged seventeen years to be free on the third day of September one thousand eight hundred and fifteen likewise my negro boy named Samuel aged fourteen years to be free on the third day of September one thousand eight hundred and and eighteen hereby declaring and acknowledging the said negroes Harry and Samuel as aforesaid free and forever discharged from all claim of service right or property whatsoever from me or any claiming under me my heirs executors administrators or assigns from and after the days and dates aforementioned: In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this third day of September one thousand eight hundred and seven Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of mary Cross (seal) Gideon White John Hurst on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit State of Maryland Viz.t On the third day of September one thousand eight hundred and seven personally appeared before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for anne arundel county Mary Cross and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be her act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the acts of assembly in such cases made and provided Gideon White Recorded 4 Sept.r 1807 State of Maryland anne arundel county Sc.t To all whom it may concern be it known that for divers good causes me thereunto moving I Elizabeth Pitts of the county aforesaid do hereby manumit and declare free agreeably to the terms herein after specified |
