126 On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit on this thirty first Anne Arundel County to wit on this thirty first day of August 1810 personally appears Artridge Lamden party to the within instrument of writing before the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledges the same to be her act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negro woman within named to be henceforth manumited and discharged from all services to her or to any claiming under her and to be free and manumited according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided Exd d d Acknowledged before 2½ sds Thomas Sellman Recorded 24th oct.r 1810 Exam.d Maryland Ann Arundell County to wit Be it Known that for divers good causes me thereunto moving I Abel Hill J.r of the County aforesaid and for the further sum of five Shillings current to me in hand paid do hereby manumit and declare free my negro man named Hillary aged about Twenty four years hereby declaring and acknowledging the said negro man named Hillary as aforesaid free and forever discharged from all claim of service right or property whatsoever from me or any claiming under me my heirs executors administrators or assigns from the date of these presents.
