125 of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the true purpose and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided 2¾ acknowledged before Ex.d.d.d Ch.s Waters paid Recorded 23.rd Oct.r 1810 Maryland sct To all whom it may concern be it Known that I Artridge Lamden of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid have released from slavery liberated manumited and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery ^liberate^ manumit and set free my negro woman named Mary being of the age of about Thirty five years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and her the said negro woman named mary and any issue she may have after this date I do declare to be henceforth free manumited and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever.
