116 Exd d d To all men to whom these presents shall come know ye that I Bennett Darnall of portland manor Ann arundel county for divers good causes have manumitted and set at full liberty and freedom the following persons to wit William aged about seventeen years Philip aged about fourteen years Henry aged about eight years and Nicholas aged about six years which said William Philip Henry and Nicholas are the sons of Susanna formerly my slave but now deceased and by these presents I do emancipate and set in full liberty the aforesaid William Philip Henry and Nicholas and each of them and their future increase and I the said Bennett Darnall for myself my executors and administrators do hereby forever relinquish and release to them the said William Philip Henry and Nicholas and each of them and each of their children hereafter all manner of right title claim and demand that I have or may have to the services of them or either of them but they and each of them shall and may do and act in all things without let hindrance disturbance of me the said Bennett or any other person or persons whatever claiming or to claim any right or title to the said William Philip Henry and Nicholas by from or under me |
