115 aforesaid female born after the date of these presents shall be free if males at twenty five years of age and if females at the age of twenty one years hereby declaring and acknowledging the said negro girl Jenny as aforesaid free and forever discharged from all claim of service right or property whatsoever from me or any person claiming under me my heirs executors administrators or assigns from and after the expiration of the sixteenth day of July eighteen hundred and twenty eight and the issue of the aforesaid female born after the date of these presents shall be free if males at twenty five years of age and if females at twenty one years of age as specified in the aforegoing manumission In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twentieth day of July in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and ten signed sealed & delivered in presence of Gideon White Nicholas J. Watkins (seal) Jno Mallonee on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit on the twentieth day of July eighteen hundred and ten personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for ann arundel county Nicholas J. Watkins party to the within instrument of writing who acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and the signature and seal thereto annexed to be respectively his Ex.d.d.d Gideon White Recorded 20 July 1810 |
