114 eighteen hundred and ten signed sealed & delivered in the presence of us John Munroe (seal) Jn.o Brice William Ogdon on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit Ann arundel county to wit, Be it remembered that on the sixteenth day of July instant personally appeared John Munroe party to the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland for said county and acknowledged the same to be for the purposes therein mentioned and the negro above named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged agreeable to the time mentioned in the above manumission Jno Brice Recorded 17 July 1810 State of Maryland Anne Arundel county Sc.t To all whom it may concern, Be it known that for divers good causes me thereunto moving I Nicholas J. Watkins of the county aforesaid do hereby manumit and declare free agreeably to the terms herein after specified to wit, my negro girl named Jenny aged between nine and ten years to be free on the sixteenth day of July eighteen hundred and twenty eight and the Issue of the (afs.d) |
