106 and set free my negro girl Mahitabel aged eleven years Matilda aged nine years Eliza aged five years and Lloyd four years, Mahitable and her increase to be free at the age of thirty one years, Mattilda and her increase to be free at the age of thirty one years Eliza and her increase to be free at the age of twenty one years and Lloyd to be free at the age of thirty one years I do declare to be hereafter free manumited and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of June in the year of our lord 1810 signed sealed & delivered in the presence of William Bateman (seal) Richard Merriken Mary Merriken on the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed to wit, anne arundel county to wit on the 13.th day of June 1810 personally appears William Bateman party to the within instrument of writing before the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland for said county and acknowledges the same to be his act and for the purposes within mentioned and the negro within named to be |
