99 Ex.d To all whom it may concern be it known that I Alfried Green of the City of annapolis in the State of Maryland for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving as also in further consideration of the sum of five shillings current money, to me in hand paid Have released from Slavery, liberated, manumitted and set free, and by these presents do hereby release from slavery, liberate, manumit and set free, my Mulatto woman named Sarah Green aged about forty years of age and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance And my negro girl named Kitty Green daughter of the said Sarah Green aged about five years (both of whom I purchased of Burton Whetcroft) I do declare to be hence forth free manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my executors or administrators forever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this nineteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Two Signed Sealed and delivered In the presence of his James Mackubin Alfried A Green (seal) Robert Welch Jun.r mark On the back of the aforegoing was thus endorsed Viz.t Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of five shillings current money, it being the full consideration money within mentioned witness his James Mackubin Alfried A Green mark |
