100 Anne Arundel County sc.t Be it remembered that on this 19th day of January Eighteen hundred and Two personally appears Alfried Green party to the within instrument of writing, before me the subscriber, a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland for the County aforesaid, and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned and the negroes within named to be hence forth manumitted and discharged from all services to him or to any claiming under him, and to be free and manumitted according to the act of assembly in such cases made and provided acknowledged before Recorded 19th January 1802 James Mackubin Ex.d State of Maryland Ann Arundel County sc.t To all whom it may concern for divers good causes me thereunto moving John Gibson of the County aforesaid do hereby manumit and declare free, agreeably to the terms herein after specified To wit my negro woman named Milly (wife of Arthur) aged about 26 years to be free on the 1.st day of February Eighteen hundred and eight and the issue of the aforesaid female born after the date of these presents if any shall be free, if males at Twenty five years of age, and if females at the age of Twenty one years Hereby declaring and acknowledging the said negro and her issue if any as aforesaid free and forever discharged from all claim of service, right, or property whatsoever |
